  For me it's the mother in law JW that i refer to as "The Hammer." She came from the philipines and engaged in what i now refer to as the "4 year war of ambient abuse." She doesn't speak english so we never actually had a conversation. Her attack of jehovah on my children is insidious and absolute. It's like 1 tomahawk missle a day for 4 years. During that time the ambient abuse just put me over the top and ultimately destroyed my family. Yes i blame her for it all. We never had a chance once the Hammer came to the USA.

  I spent 42 years of my life without JW's and thought i had seen everything possible. Boy did i underestimate the resolve of the jeho's and the power of ambient abuse. It sneaks up on you. It's black magic in every sense of the word.

  in the very first paragraph, matthew 13:38 is to be read - "the field is the world; as for the fine seed, these are the sons of the kingdom; but the weeds are the sons of the wicked one..".

  jesus speaks of only two groups, so if you accept the wtbts "anointed" doctrine, then if you haven't got the "heavenly hope", then you've got no hope!.

  simply put, there aren't any 'other sheep' members of jesus' "one flock" mentioned, unless of course theyare also "sons of the kingdom", but of course, that would be ridiculous!!.

  i don't miss it a bit.

  i was a slacker when it came to prayer.

  I breath prayers many times a day. Sometimes i stop and pray out loud. I can do all things through christ who strengthens me.

  Has anyone else observed how the elderly JWs are neglected?

  i know there are exceptions to this (by good-hearted jws), but has anyone else noticed how some jws (even those who are pios, elders, etc.

  ) neglect the needs of their elderly parents?

  (what i have seen is some jws hiding behind the fact that they are very busy in spiritual matters, too busy, to help their elderly parents with chores around their house, yet they find plenty of time for their own selfish pursuits.

  as an apostate, i'm currently compiling a list of changed doctrines and "new light" changes over the years.

  this is mainly for discussing with witnesses in the future.

  i feel if i don't present full truth of their own doctrine, they will knock me down and rightfully say that i did not give full infomation(hypocrites much?).

  i was very young back then, and can remember telling everyone at school, family, and all my worldly friends that the world would end in just another year.

  now after reading the latest july wt, and reviewing all the updates, i can't help but wonder what effect i would have if i told members of my faith that armeggeddon, wouldn't come that year.

  the fds has two appointments, 1st in 1919, and then 2nd after the gt.
